It takes TIME to build your following. You need to be smart, focused and intentional to get through a marathon. IG growth is just like a marathon, don't treat it like a sprint.

Have you ever felt like this? "I've tried everything, and my account still isn't growing. What can I do?!"
Chances are you're struggling more with the bigger picture in your business aka - your business goals. Once you understand your business goals, you can start to understand what role Instagram can play in achieving those goals. You need to know where you're going in order to get there.
Here are 4 items you should definitely NOT be doing in order to grow your followers. Check them out:
1. Your bio does not explain who you help or how. Include who you help and how you do it in your bio. As a viewer, I should be clear on how you will help me after reading your bio.
2. You have only posted a few Reels. The verdict is in! Reels have a bigger impact on growth than any other feature on the app. Reels is an organic way for viewers to find your page.
3. You have a photo only feed. Variety is key, so make sure you're posting photos, videos and infographics. Give a nice variety and different ways to portray yourself!
4. You spend more time on shady apps than you do researching what your audience wants. The only app you need to grow followers on Instagram is the Instagram app itself! Be social, ask your audience what they want, check your insights regularly.
So often, we want to show up and be seen but forget to show up for others. While we’re busy creating content in addition to our everyday hustle, it’s easy to forget others are doing the same.

While we want every post to be *the best performing one yet*, the reality is, it doesn’t work that way. Not every post is going to be a top performer and not all progress can be measured in metrics.
We have to show up with the intention of BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS and GIVING the engagement we want to RECEIVE on our account.

Give three times the amount you want to receive.
Not only does this help you be more mindful of what it takes to get someone to comment, but it helps you start creating the engagement you want to see.
*If you want to get ten comments on your post, that means you need to leave a meaningful comment on 30 posts
Remember: This isn’t a one and done tip… giving engagement is an ongoing effort.
Set a plan, be intentional, and ENGAGE, engage, engage!
Shine on,
Tiffany Byl
